Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Ecomana Painting Ltd (“Ecomana”, “we”, “our”, “us”) and the use of our website ecomana.co.nz (“Site”). By requesting a quote, booking a job, or browsing the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Quotes & Pricing

  1. All quotes are free and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
  2. Quotes are based on the information you supply (surface size, access, colours, etc.). Extra work required due to hidden or changed conditions (e.g., rot repairs, additional coats) may incur additional charges, which we will discuss with you first.
  3. All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST unless noted.

2. Bookings & Deposits

  • A 10 % deposit (or other amount specified in the quote) confirms your booking and secures dates on our schedule.
  • Deposits are non-refundable but will be credited toward your final invoice.

3. Payment Terms

  • Balance invoices are due 7 days from the date of issue.
  • Late payments may attract 2 % interest per month plus any collection costs.
  • We accept bank transfer, credit card, or EFTPOS (securely processed by our payment partner).

4. Your Responsibilities

  1. Provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area (including pets secured, furniture moved, power available).
  2. Obtain any required body-corporate or council approvals.
  3. Tell us about known hazards such as asbestos, lead paint, or mould.
  4. Approve colours in writing before we purchase materials.

5. Workmanship & Warranty

  • We follow relevant New Zealand industry standards and manufacturer instructions.
  • Interior and exterior paintwork is covered by a 5-year workmanship warranty (fair-wear-and-tear and substrate movement excluded).
  • Product warranties are honoured according to the paint manufacturer’s terms.

6. Variations & Delays

  • Weather, supply issues, or circumstances beyond our control may affect start or finish dates. We will keep you informed and reschedule as soon as practicable.
  • Client-requested changes after work starts must be agreed in writing and may affect price and timeline.

7. Cancellations

  • Cancel more than 14 days before the scheduled start and you forfeit only the deposit.
  • Cancel within 14 days and you are liable for the deposit plus any materials already purchased.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the lesser of (a) the cost of re-supplying the service or (b) the amount you actually paid us.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (e.g., loss of profit, rental income, or data).

9. Site Content & Intellectual Property

  • Content on this Site (text, images, logos) is owned by Ecomana or licensors. You may view, download, or print for personal reference only.
  • You may not reproduce or modify Site content without our written consent.

10. Privacy

We respect your privacy. How we collect and use personal information is explained in our separate Privacy Policy.

Our Site may link to external websites. We do not control or endorse their content and are not responsible for any loss arising from your use of those sites.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of our services or the Site means you accept the revised Terms.
